Magiphysics
The woman watched as a ball of soft, warm, light appeared in his hands. He cupped it as if it were a pool of water, slipping through his fingers. He spun it on his left index finger as if it were a small basketball and he smiled.
He then cupped it in his hands again and pressed it with his fingers until it was a different shape. It was now a pyramid and was clear, as if it were made of crystal. The woman stared in fascination.
She watched, still enraptured, as the man walked to the water's edge and kneeled where the white foam waves met the sun warmed sand. The orb of light was now gone, but only for a while, as it reappeared in the water, emitting a cool blue light now. The man let it go and gestured with his hands and the ball zoomed through the waves. With a wave of his arm, a spray of water leaped from the ocean into the air, reaching the gulls flying above. The man was now thigh deep in the water and water jets were everywhere. He placed his palms on the surface of the water and bubbles jetted up, some popping, others drifting with the tide. The woman looked closer and saw them in different formations, one was a heart, another was a smiling face.
The man now actually scooped up water and let it pool in his palms, the woman dared to come closer to see what he was going to do with the liquid. She saw, her eyes widening, a ball of water sitting in his hands. His eyes were closed, eyelids blocking brilliant blue eyes from view, and in turn, blocking his view of the world around him. Suddenly the ball broke apart with a gust of wind. She watched the leaves dance in the wind and noticed that the man's eyes were now open and he twirled a piece of his brown hair around a finger. The woman noticed how the leaves swirled into a spiral with the wind. A small tornado was forming, and a bright, white, light was in the center.
In a blink of an eye, the white light turned to orange the the leaves were fried. The man was in the swirling wind, grabbing onto the light. A burst of flames engulfed his hand, and the woman flinched, and she closed her eyes. When she opened them again, the man seemed unharmed. He was catching leaves on fire, one by one, watching as they fluttered to the ground in ashes. He quickly extinguished the flames and sat on the ground, placing his palms in the grass. He laid back on the grass and looked at the clouds. He closed his eyes once again, and the lady looked up and saw the clouds moving in irregular ways. Was this man moving the clouds themselves?
He opened his eyes again and admired his work, a faint smile upon his lips. He pressed his palms to his chest and when he removed them a pink light rested in his hands. He smiled wider and seemed to break off whisps of pink light and scattered them in the gentle wind.
"How...how did you do all of that?" The woman finally brought herself to say.
"Oh, it's just magic. Anyone can do it." The man told her, the smile still resting on his lips.
"Magic, but that's fairy tale stuff." The woman said skeptically. The man raised an eyebrow.
"Well, not really..." He said, now it was the woman's turn to raise a brow.
"Not really?" She scoffed. He nodded and stood up, brushing his pants off.
"That's right. It's science."
"Science?"
"That's right. Energy." He nodded again. "Magiphysics!" He exclaimed with a chuckle. The woman still regarded him with a skeptical look. "Look, I'll show you..." He said, rolling his eyes. He pulled her closer and took her hand. She noticed a warm feeling unlike any other begin flowing from his hand to hers. He spent an hour showing her how to reach deep down and find her energy and pull it out and control a ball of the light. She had to leave eventually and he bid her farewell, forming a rose out of flames for her, smiling.
"I hope to meet you again. You're a very interesting man..." She said, smiling at the rose and the man. She then turned and left, not seeing the man disappear with the wind.

Out here in the fields
I fight for my meals
I get my back into my living
I don't need to fight
To prove I'm right
I don't need to be forgiven

Yeah, it's helpful sometimes...instead of creating random characters. Plus, this magic is the magic I use in his story.

One day I think I'm going to write a story with all of my characters in it...
